How To Remove Lip Gloss From A Rug

I need to start this out by saying that I LOVE being a mom!

Having said that, sometimes having kids is HARD.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect rug for my home office.

Last Friday I found it.

  It was even on sale!  I brought it home and it finished off the office.  Saturday afternoon Little M {almost 4}

took lip gloss and wrote all over our vintage desk and our ONE-day-old rug. 

Well, I flipped out.  First off DCFS did not need to be called but I was pretty upset.  I seriously can't leave her alone for 5 minutes.  I immediately took her to her room for time out and then tried to clean it up and calm down.  Nothing worked.   She cried, I cried.  

So I did as most people do - I posted it online for the world to feel my pain and console me and to ask advice on how to remove the lip gloss.

Thanks to @foreverbela {instagram} who suggested this stuff called "Awesome" at the dollar store. Well, IT WORKED!!!

Next time you are at the dollar store be sure to pick up a bottle because it truly is AWESOME!!!

*on a side note...All is good and I think M learned her lesson to not write on anything else but paper.  When we talked about it before bed she tried to hide under her covers - I sure hope it is because she feels so bad and is not because she is scared of her crazy mom!!!
