I LOVE this time of year…General Conference. If you haven’t heard about General Conference it is a conference for my religion,
We seek guidance from our leaders. For me, this is a great time to make new goals and try to be a better person. I love the way our leaders focus on the good and I ALWAYS get my questions answered.
I think I have ADD and can’t sit still during the sessions so I craft, do my girls nails, and even take drives to help me listen. I start out with a prayer and ask my Father in Heaven to help me listen and HEAR the words which “I NEED” in my life. When I hear something that stands out I write it down. This week I will be transferring them onto the chalkboard that hangs in my kitchen to help remind me of the things I need to do.
So here is my list of things I learned or I am reminded of.
– We attend church to partake of the Sacrament.
-So grateful for repentance. Can you imagine the world without repentance?
-God LOVES us. He is the way to everlasting happiness.
-Love one another and avoid contention in all we do including sports and politics, and
-Kindness is POWERFUL.
-The Gospel needs to be taught in the home. We can’t rely on the Church to teach everything. It must be taught everyday in the home.
-Help those in need.
-We should NEVER let the noise of the world overpower the still small voice.
-Which is more important prayers or fruit?
-Walking where Jesus walked is not as important as walking AS He walked.
-We have a living prophet who receives direct revelation from the Lord.
-Family prayer is a non-negotiable part of your daily routine.
-Make scripture study part of our everyday life. Feasting on the word of Christ is THE MOST important part of my day.
-Communicate with your Father in Heaven all the time. He wants to know everything about your day. He will help you and wants to help you. He won’t force you. He will help you on His time and not ours. He loves us and wants us to be happy. He knows us by name.
I get so excited to share what makes me who I am and share a little part of what I believe and makes me happy. I don’t know where I would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. It doesn’t make things perfect but it does help when times are tough. I know the things that are taught at General Conference are true. I know it. I know we have a living prophet here on this earth to lead and guild us. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and who answers my prayers and knows who I am and the intent of my heart. I want to do all that I can to return and live with him again. I can’t wait for that day. I LOVE the gospel of Jesus Christ. It makes me HAPPY.
General Conference is awesome because 3 different people can watch, listen, or read the same talk and can get something different out of it. This is a tender mercy that our Father in Heaven provides for us. Check out my friends who also wrote what they learned from General Conference and if you want you can even read some of the talks given from Conference.

We Are Bloggers, and We are Mormons…
We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints otherwise known as “The Mormons”. We are proud of this part of who we are! We are excited to team up with over 65+ of us strong… to extend an invitation to see a film. A film entitled “Meet The Mormons”. This film is not meant to be an “in your face” – you must join our church film. It is simply designed and produced to uplift and inspire you through six stories of those of our faith who have followed promptings to follow Christ more fully in their lives. We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy this film. We hope your hearts are made light as you feel the goodness that comes from following our Christ and Savior. All proceeds from the film will be donated to The American Red Cross. So not only will you be uplifted and inspired, your money will be going to an amazing charity!!
The light of the gospel of Jesus Christ offers a joy and hope that only following him can provide. We hope as you click through and read our stories and testimonies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you will feel uplifted and encouraged. We are by you! We love connecting with our readers, that is why many of us do what we do! Please be kind and considerate in your comments. It takes great bravery for us to open our hearts and our mouths to share with you such a tender and personal part of who we are. We share because we feel strongly the need to share the peace and the hope that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
